The All India Institute of Medical Sciences shortly called as AIIMS is an autonomous body that came into existence through an act of Parliament. As a part of its activities, the institute is running a large teaching hospital for offering training to UG and PG students in different fields of medical sciences.

Reservation: Reservation for SC/ST/OBC candidates will be according to the rules, which is 27% for OBC, 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST candidates. This percentage will be applicable on remaining vacancies after selection of AIIMS graduates for the position of Junior Residents.

Remuneration: Candidates appointed for the position of Junior Residents (non-academic), will be coming under the pay band of Rs. 15600 with GP of Rs.5400/ per month and other allowances inclusive of NPA.

Eligibility requirements:

In the process of selection to the position of Junior Residents, AIIMS graduates will be given first preference. In the case of left out vacancy (if any) after appointment of AIIMS graduates, MBBS graduates from other institutions will be considered. Candidates will be selected based on the percentage of marks secured by them in the Preceding AIIMA PG Entrance Examination and or aggregate of percentage of marks obtained in MBBS and priority will be given to candidates applying for the first time for the position of Junior Residents. Candidates should have completed their graduation MBBS before 31-12-2009

How to apply:

Candidates can get the application form from the academic section of AIIMS from 10.00 AM to 04.00 pm on all working days and from 10.00 AM to 12.00 noon on Saturdays and form can also be downloaded from the website of the institution at www.aiims.edu. Completed application should be sent to the Registrar, AIIMS before the 20th of December 2011. Interview of short-listed candidates will be conducted on 29th of December 2011 at the Dean’s Committee Room at 11.00 am. The list of eligible candidates for interview will be published in the Notice Board of the Academic section of the institute and on the website of the institution on 27th of December 2011 at 4.00 pm.
