The Kanpur Institute of Technology was set up in the year 2004 and is associated to the Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU). It is a private educational institution and so its management is in the hands of a private trust organization. It is approved by AICTE.

Course Offered

B. Tech program in various disciplines is offered by the college. Each of the engineering department has an intake capacity of 60 students. The college has the following departments: electronics & Communication Engineering; Computer Science & Engineering; Electrical Engineering; Chemical Engineering; Mechanical Engineering and Information Technology. M.B.A. and M.C.A. programs are also offered having 60 seats each.

Placement

The students of the college are recruited in the companies such as Future Academy, NIIT, Cadd Centre, Cadd concepts, Cepta InfoTech, Ducat, UPTEC Comp. Consultancy Services, Hero Mindmine and Appin Knowledge.

Infrastructure

The campus covers a huge area of 25 acres of land. The buildings are all three storeyed with all air conditioned rooms. The classes are hi tech as they are provided with public addressing systems, LCD projectors and various such modern facilities.

Admission Procedure and Eligibility Criteria

Each aspirant has to qualify a written entrance examination held by the UPTU. To get admitted to this institute you must have a good rank in the examination.

Each applicant must have score of at least 45% in aggregate at higher secondary level. According to the D.G. shipping criteria they should have a medical certificate and a candidate’s age should be minimum 18 years on the day of examination.
