Who in India will not know about the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)? The IITs are one of the fines and renounced technical institutes of India imparting quality course in various engineering trades. IITs are spread all over the country so that more and more students can be a part of this renounced name. Technical education in IITs has a different value all together. The IIT Kanpur has a department of Industrial and management engineering, which also offers MBA degree programs. The college conducts its own admission program through which students are selected in this course. This particular department was formed in the year 1974, and the MBA program has been introduced since the year 2001. Since then, the college is receiving thousand of applicants to be a part of this famous technological institute.

IIT Kanpur has been a premier institution for engineering education since it was founded 50 years ago.  The MBA programme of IIT Kanpur has been specially designed for engineering students to turn them in successful managers.

For admission to the full time 2 year MBA programme of IITK-IME candidates have to appear in JMET-2011(Joint Management Entrance Test) like all for all IITs MBA programmes. In addition candidates have to apply separately for IITK-IME. Students shortlisted through JMET are called for Personal Interview and Group Discussion for final selection.

Eligibility Criteria:

A candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/ Architecture with at least 60% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA in the qualifying exam. Candidates having Bachelor’s degree in Architecture should have had Mathematics in 10+2.
