Kawa College of Education came into existence in the year 2003 and the college is managed and run by a state government registered society called Kawa Educational & Welfare Society. The college was established with the objective of catering to the educational requirements of aspirants. The college believes in offering quality education with the help of dedicated, well-qualified and experience faculty members and latest techniques by taking pains for ensuring that students are getting proper guidance and education. In addition, the college also strives towards overall development of students by concentrating not only in educational activities, but also towards extra-curricular activities as well.

Course Details:

The only course offered by the Kawa College of Education is Bachelor of Education and this course is affiliated to the University of Jammu. For seeking admission to this course, candidates must have completed their Bachelor of Commerce/Science or Arts course from a recognized university.

Admission procedure:

Candidates applying for B. Ed course in Jammu will have to follow the procedure given below:

• Jammu University conducts counseling for the applicants, who wish to seeking admission to the B. Ed course

• Jammu University issues the schedule for counseling for non-local and local candidates through non-local and local newspapers

• The counseling is held initially for local candidates applying in response to the advertisement for admission to the B. Ed course in non-government education colleges affiliated to the Jammu University

• Then, the university of Jammu issues separate notification for non-local candidates of different states and these candidates are called for counseling according to merit. The candidates belonging to other states will have to produce migration certificate within two weeks after seeking admission to the B. Ed course in Kawa College of Education

• After getting admission slip from the university, candidates will have to report to the college in which they are allotted seat. Then, they will have to register their names as per the names laid down by appropriate college, which is applicable to Kawa College of Education

Infrastructure:

Kawa College of Education have multitude of buildings like canteen, mess, girls hostel, teaching block, etc… The college has sufficient infrastructural facilities with spacious classrooms, education technology lab, computer laboratory, staff room and all these are provided with required equipment and furniture. The college has a spacious library located at the ground floor and it is equipped with local/leading national newspapers and periodicals, journals and books.
