Kirloskar Institute of Advanced Management Studies is a well known management institute situated in Harihar, Karnataka. The Institute offers a Post Graduate Diploma in Management which is fully residential and of duration of two years. The learning environment at the institute is very good and the facilities provided are also excellent.

The minimum eligibility criterion for getting admission to KIAMS is graduation in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate.

KIAMS uses the Common Admissions Test (CAT), conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management and Xavier Admission Test (XAT) of XLRI, Jamshedpur. The CAT or XAT scores of the candidates form the first basis of admission to KIAMS. Candidates are also required to apply separately for KIAMS. After short listing the candidates on the basis of CAT or XAT score the institute calls the shortlisted candidates for the next stage of selection.

The next stage constitutes a Group Activity, Group Work followed by an Interview. These are conducted at Harihar, Kolkata, Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Lucknow and Baroda.

Admission is granted to candidates on the basis of overall performance in all the stages of selection procedure. The GA, GD and PI form the most important part of the selection procedure.
