i have registered for XAT 2012 and payed 900/- fees and sent the related docs to the XLRI office Jamshedpur.
is it mandatory to apply for XLRI or any other institutes to take up the exam?

Hello friend,
After qualifying the XAT, you can apply for institutes other then XLRI.
To see the list of the institutes which accepts XAT score for admission,and the process to apply to them, you my refer to the official website of XAT.

" Yeah " you may apply for XAT in any center as you like , There are lot Centers are available for XAT Examination . But you have registered for XAT in Jamshedpur then you may attend the XAT examination
