Mohan Lal Sukhadia University was previously called as Udaipur University and it was established in the Southern part of the state of Rajasthan in tribal area. Initially, the university was particularly meant for agricultural studies and later in the year 1964, it was converted as multi-faculty university. The university was given its present name in the year 1984 in honor of Shri. Mohan Lal Sukhadia, the popular architect of the state of Rajasthan. Several centers like employment & advisory cell, SC/ST cell, central library, sports board, university guesthouse, hostels, women studies centre, population research centre, workshop, internet centre and computer centre. The university is offering education under the faculties of humanities, social sciences, science, commerce and management. The best thing about the central library of the university is that the university has appointed Braille type writer for the purpose of facilitating learning for blind students. In the past five years, the university has added many more journals and books to a core of Rs. 1 crore.
