Government Meera Girls College is a multi-faculty institution for PG studies situated in the historic city of Udaipur, which is popular for scenic splendors, spirituality and chivalry. The college came into existence in the year 1956 as an intermediate college and within a short period of three years, it grown into a multi-faculty institution and it got the status of PG college in the year 1977. The college is offering various courses with  affiliation from the Mohanlal Sukhadia University located in Udaipur.

Library at the college:

The library at Government Meera Girls’ College has a collection of more than 50,000 books and the library is subscribing for 12 newspapers, 40 magazines and 70 journals. The library is functioning as a fully computerized library and students of the college are offered with computerized ID cards for borrowing books from the library.

College Hostel:

Government Meera Girls’ College has one among the largest hostels in the southern part of the state of Rajasthan and this was constructed in the year 1966. It is located behind the college in the central part of the city of Udaipur.

Activities:

Students of the college are encouraged to actively participate in different activities like college magazine, model college committee, website committee, etc… Alumni Meera Society is also functioning for the sake of old students of the college.
