Gautam Buddha University shortly called as GBU came into existence in the year 2008 and it is a government university located in the city of Greater Noida in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The university is wholly funded by the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority and the New Okhla Industrial Development Authority. The university visualizes to become a world-class centre for excellence in education with special focus to serve the economically challenged and underprivileged sections of the society. The uniqueness of the reputation of the university is that it is acknowledged through the pedagogy, content and format of its programmes and their relevance to the society. GBU acts as a member of the Association of the Universities and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission.
