M.Sc IT course in Anna University and Fee structure

Anna University offers Post Graduate programme in Information Technology spanning three years. Admission to the course is made through entrance examination conducted by the university. Duration of the programme is four semesters (2 academic years). Final selection of the candidates is based on the combined scores obtained in the entrance examination and marks obtained in the qualifying exam.

Fee structure

Semester wise fee structure for the course is as follows.

First Semester

  • Admission fee: Rs. 850/-
  • Refundable Caution Deposit: Rs. 5000/-
  • Cost of Regulation & Syllabus Book: Rs.  300/-
  • Course Development Fees: Rs.   4000/-
  • Tuition Fee: Rs. 3000/-
  • Learning Material Development: Rs. 1000/-
  • Learning Aids: Rs. 3000/-
  • Facilitation fee: Rs. 1500 /-
  • Total: Rs.18, 650/-

Every subsequent semester (for 2nd, 3rd and 4th semester)

  • Tuition Fee: Rs 3000/-
  • Course Development Fees: Rs 4000/-
  • Learning Material Development: Rs 1000/-
  • Learning Aids: Rs 3000/-
  • Facilitation fee: Rs. 1500/-
  • Total: Rs.12, 500/-

Candidates who have completed their under graduation from Universities other than the state of Tamil Nadu are required to pay an additional fees of Rs. 400/- as recognition fee at the time of admission. Reserved category candidates can avail the benefits as per the university norms in terms of tuition fees. Candidates are required to make the payment in the form of Demand draft taken in favor of “Director, Centre for Distance Education, Anna University Chennai” payable at Chennai.
