National Eligibility Test is one of the important exams for the students willing to get eligible for the award of junior research fellowship which is available only for the Indian Nationals. There are very few students from various fields are interested to take part in this examination. Generally the candidates participating in this entrance test is from the IIT’s.

Paper Description:

The NET Buddhist, Jaina, Gandhian and Peace Studies (Paper II) is basically gives the knowledge about the life structure of Gautama Budha. The various concepts of peace and causes of violence are also included in this paper. The allotment of Buddhism in Tibet and other countries is also mentioned under this paper. One should get proper knowledge about the Budhist architecture and sculpture that are mentioned under this paper. The socialistic effect of Jainism and Buddhism in our society is also mention under the syllabus of this paper.

Paper Pattern:

The Buddhist, Jaina, Gandhian and Peace Studies (Paper II) Papers contains a total of fifty questions. All the questions are mandatory for every appearing candidate. The paper pattern is simple. One should have to answer fifty multiple type questions, each question carries two marks. All the students are asked to follow all the instructions mentioned on the question booklet. One more important thing that every candidates need to focus is to dark the correct oval in the answer sheet and the use of calculator or log table is strictly prohibited.

Total Time and Full Marks:

The Full marks against the Buddhist, Jaina, Gandhian and Peace Studies (Paper II) Papers is 100 and each student is allowed to attempt all the questions within the time span of 75 minutes.

    are there independent awards of M. Phil or , Doctoral programs
    esp. in philosophy available at Indian universities irrespective of tests those conducted by UGC like NET and all that ?
