The North East Homeopathic Medical College is functioning from the year 2001 and it is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University previously called as Arunachal Pradesh University. The college is recognized by Central Council of Homeopathy in India and by the Arunachal Pradesh Government.

Course details:

North East Homeopathic College is offering Bachelor of Homeopathic Medical Science & Surgery shortly called as BHMS course. The course duration is 5 ½ years, inclusive of one-year internship programme.

Admission Procedure:

Of the total number of seats allotted by North East Homeopathic College, 20% of the seats are reserved for students belonging to Scheduled tribe category from the state of Arunachal Pradesh. If sufficient number of ST candidates from Arunachal Pradesh do not apply, ST candidates belonging to other states will be admitted. Under the self-financing foreign scheme, one student from a foreign country will be admitted as per the guidelines of Government of India. Four seats are reserved for nomination by the Arunachal Pradesh State government and this will be on merit basis.

Eligibility for Admission:

Candidates seeking admission to North East Homeopathic Medical College must have completed 17 years of age before the 31st of June in the year in which she is seeking admission. The minimum educational qualification is 10+2 from a recognized board with chemistry, physics and biology with a minimum of 50% of marks. Admission is purely on merit basis with marks secured in the previously mentioned subjects in the first attempt and any improvement examination marks will not be considered.

North East Homeopathic Medical College is offering BHMS course through twelve of its departments like obstetrics & gynecology, forensic medicine, Pathology, Bacteriology & Parasitology, Preventive and Social Medicine Including Family Welfare and Health Education, Homoeopathic Pharmacy, Homeopathic Materia Medica & Homeopathic Therapeutics, and Anatomy.
