Dera Natung Government College is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University located in Itanager and the college is offering Bachelor’s degree course in arts, science & commerce streams. Both pass and honors degrees are offered by the college and duration of these courses is three years. The first year of study is common for both pass and honors subjects in this college, students are promoted to the second year of the degree course only after he/she is declared to have passed the previous year. This college came into existence in the year 1979 and it has earned B+ status from the National Assessment & Accreditation Council.

Students who have completed their All India Senior School Certificate Examinations conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education or equivalent examination with English as a subject are eligible to seek admission to the first year of the UG courses offered by the college.
