Institute for Intensive Research in Basic Sciences is an self-governing research organization functioning under the guidelines of Mahatma Gandhi University in Kottayam. The institute was established in 2009 with the national dream of producing high priority research activities with vibrant academic programs in interdisciplinary fields. IIRBS offer integrated Master of Science programs in the interdisciplinary areas. The programs are aimed at the talented aspirants of humanities, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

The Course Structure

How to Open the Door?

The aspirants of IIRBS should be a plus two pass out with 55% marks in the final board examination under science stream. There will be an entrance examination for the aspirants of IIRBS conducted on the month of July and the students need to submit the application from before that. The aspirants should have a aptitude in science and the entrance examination evaluate this aptitude. The question is of objective mode including the comprehension part. Since the numbers of available seats are limited the competition at the entry is so high. The admission process is purely based on the merit basis and hence the students must do a sound preparation for cracking the exam. The written exam will be followed with an interview process.
