Panjab University in Chandigarh was incepted in year 1882 and since then its motive is to provide excellent education in the fields of science, technology, humanities, social sciences, performing arts and sports. This university also indulges in scholarship programs to promote deserving candidates. This motive is supported by a well qualified faculty which includes many renowned scientists and academicians from India and abroad. This university is a home for numerous students’ states like Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and U.T. of Chandigarh. Students can look forward to diploma courses, undergraduate courses, post graduate courses, PhD courses here. Apart from numerous course categorized, Panjab University, Chandigarh also offers Distance Education to numerous students.
The Distance Education program of this university offers courses which include Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Library & Information Science. Except the last course, rest two distance courses are of three years each. The last course is for one year only. Apart from these programs, there are other programs offered through distance learning.
