Periyar Maniammai University Entrance Test for Engineering is an entrance test conducted by Periyar Maniammai University for the admission into the B Tech, B Arch and BE courses offered by Periyar Maniammai University.  The B Tech course offered by this University has duration of four years. The exam is conducted regularly each year. The B Tech courses offered by the University in various discipline are listed below.

Structure of Periyar Maniammai University Entrance Test for Engineering

The admission for the B Tech course in Periyar Maniammai University is determined on the basis of the written examination. The medium of the question paper is in English only. The test consists of questions from three sections and it is to evaluate the basic knowledge of candidates in the plus two subjects. The time allotted for the test will be of two hours. The test includes only multiple choice questions. For each question four options are provided. From the given choices right answer should be marked by the candidate. Minus marks are there for the wrong answers.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate applying should be a citizen of India. The basic qualification needed to attend the entrance exam is that the candidate should have completed plus two with 50% marks. The candidates should have studied Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry or Biology in their plus two classes. For applying for the Bio technology course candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology. For the B.Arch course the candidates must have 40 % marks in the National Aptitude test in Architecture. Those candidates in the final year classes of the qualifying exam can also apply for the test. Reservations are there for the backward communities as per the government regulations.

How to Apply?

The application form and admission bulletin is available from the Periyar Maniammai University office. The cost of the application fee is Rs.750/- for the general category candidates. The Sc/St candidates have to pay only Rs.350/-.  The fee should be paid in form of the demand draft or crossed bank draft. The application form should be send to the concerned University before the last date. The demand draft should be enclosed along with the application form.

How to fill the Form?

The form must be filled by the candidates by following all the instructions for filling the form. All the details filled in the form must be correct otherwise it leads to the cancellation of the form. There is no any chance for the further correction of the given details. All the details must be filled accurately by the candidates. The demand draft of Rs.750/- must be enclosed along with the application form and forwarded before the last date.
