State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur was established in the year 1963 after amalgamation of erstwhile State Bank of Jaipur with State Bank of Bikaner, which were established in the year 1943 and 1944 respectively. This is as association bank of the State Bank of India and the main area of operation of the bank is the state of Rajasthan. However, the bank has branches spread in other state of India as well.

Recruitment by SBBJ:

SBI calls for application from eligible candidates for the position of Probationary Officer for its subsidiary banks and one among those subsidiary banks is State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur. Here are the details regarding the recruitment notification issued by SBI:

Name of the position: Probationary Officer

Number of Vacancies: 1032 (147 for SC, 90 for ST, 265 for OBC, 20 for OH, 12 for VH and 498 for General)

Probationary Period: Two years

Pay Scale: Starting pay of Rs. 14500 in the scale of Rs.14500-600/7-18700-700/2-20100-800/7-25700, which is applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale I. Selected candidates, will be eligible for Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance and City Compensatory Allowance as per the rules applicable from time to time.

Eligibility:

Educational Qualification: To apply for the position of Probationary Officer, candidates must be graduates in any discipline from a recognized college or university.

Age: As on 01st of June 2011, candidates must not be below 21 years of age and above 30 years of age, which means that candidates born between 2nd of June 1981 and 1st of June 1990 are eligible to apply. Application fee and postage:

Candidates will have to deposit a non-refundable deposit of Rs. 500 (Rs. 50 for PWD/SC/ST category, which indicates postal charge alone) in any of the branches of SBI between the 02nd of June to 23rd of June 2011.

Selection Procedure:

The selection process includes two phases, in phase-I, candidates will have to take up written test, which will be conducted for 250 marks and the next phase of selection process includes group discussion and interview, which will be conducted for 50 marks in total.

Candidates will have to download the cash voucher from any of the websites like www.timesjobs.com,  www.statebankofindia.com and www.sbi.co.in and they will have to pay the prescribed fee directly to any of the branches of SBI. They should apply online along with their scanned photography and signature through the website of SBI.

Dates for online registration – Between 04th June 2011 and 25th of June 2011

Date of Written Examination: 07th of August 2011
