Central University of Karnataka is currently operating or functioning from its temporary campus which is located at Gulbarga University. The university was founded through the Central University Act, 2009 of Parliament by the Government of India. The university has been provided an area of 621 acres at Kadaganchi Suntanpur villages by the Karnataka State Government. The university aims to provide quality higher educational facilities to the people in less educationally developed districts in Karnataka. The administrative office of the university is at Gulbarga university campus.

Central University of Karnataka invites applications for the faculty positions at the levels of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in various subjects. The vacancies are available for the subjects named History, Geography, English, Economics, Commerce, Socil Work, Management, Geo-Spatial Applications, Psychology & Behavioural Sciences etc.

1. Recruitment of Professor:
No. of posts: Only 7 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should be an eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification in the concerned discipline. A minimum of 10 years of teaching experience in university is also required to be possed by the interested candidates.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 10000.

2. Recruitment of Associate Professor:
No. of posts: Only 14 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should have done Ph.D. degree in the concerned discipline with a good academic record throughout. Candidates should possess Master’s degree with atleast 55% marks in aggregate. A minimum of 8 years of teaching experience in university is also required to be possed by the interested candidates.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 9000.

3. Recruitment of Assistant Professor:
No. of posts: Only 23 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should have a good academic record with atleast 55% marks at the Master’s degree level. Candidates should also possess the National Eligibility Test conducted by the UGCi, CSIR.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6000.

Application Fee:

General and OBC categories candidates are required to submit an application fee of Rs. 300. SC/ST/PH candidates are exempted from the payment of this application fee. The application fee must be submitted through the means of a crossed demand draft. The demand draft should be drawn in favour of Central University of Karnataka on any nationalized bank payable at Gulbarga.

Selection Process:

The selection process for the eligible candidates is comprises of a personal interview test with the selection committee.
