Nagaland University is affiliated to University Grants Commission. The university was established in the year 1994 by the Government of India. The university is located in the state of Nagaland. The university was established as a Central University with four campuses located at Kohima, Diampur, Lumami and Medziphema. There are 47 colleges affiliated to the university. Professor Y. K. Alagh is the Chancellor of the university while Professor B. K. Knwor is the Vice Chancellor. The university is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. The university works on its motto ‘Labour et Honor’.

1. Recruitment of Professor:

Educational Qualification: Candidates should be an eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification in the concerned or relevant discipline. Minimum 10 years of experience in the field of research or teaching in university or college, is required for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 10500.

2. Recruitment of Associate Professor:
No. of posts: Only 24 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should be an eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification in the concerned or relevant discipline. Candidtes must have secured minimum 55% marks in aggregate at Master’s degree level with minimum 8 years of experience in the field of research or teaching in university or college.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 9500.

3. Recruitment of Assistant Professor:
No. of posts: Only 27 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should have a good academic record throughout with minimum 55% marks in aggregate at the Master’s degree level from a recognized university. Candidates should also have cleared the National Eligibility Test conducted by the UGC, CSIR.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 8000.
