Dr. Hari Singh Gour Vishwavidyalaya was established on July 18, 1946 under Government of India. This central university is also known as University of Saugar. The university has a rural campus located at Sagar, Madhya Pradesh. The university has an academic staff of total 360 personnel. The university is affiliated to University Grants Commission. The university also offers various undergraduate as well as post graduate courses to its students. Mr. A. K. Chapaliya is the Dean of the university while Mr. N.S. Gajbhiye is the Vice Chancellor.
