Sanjay Gandhi memorial hospital was commissioned in the year 1986. Today it caters to the medial needs of 10 lakh people in emergency as well as routine. It manages a patient load of about 2500 per day. It has 24 hrs casualty facility, blood bank services, laboratories, OTs etc.
Job profile: The role of the senior and junior residents will be to diagnose the patients, to look after them and give them the proper treatment. They are also required report to their senior doctors regularly.
Eligibility: A candidate must be below 35 years of age for senior resident and 30 years for junior resident as on 01.09.09. A relaxation of 5 years is available in case of SC/ST and 3 years for OBC.
Educational Qualifications: For Senior Resident - A candidate must be a Post Graduate in the relevant department and must be registered with Delhi Medical Council.
For Junior Resident – A candidate must have an MBBS degree and must have completed the internship and must be registered with DMC.
No. of vacancies: There are 29 vacancies for senior resident and 35 for the junior residents.
Pay scale: The candidates will be absorbed in the pay band 3and there will be a grade pay of Rs6600 for senior residents and Rs5400 for junior residents.
Selection procedure: The candidates will have to appear for an interview in front of the selection team. The selection will be purely on the basis of merit.
How to apply: The candidates have to apply as per the format given in the advertisement (Hindustan Times – 07.08.2009). The application must be accompanied with a DD of Rs500 (only for GEN/OBC) drawn in the favor of Medical Superintendent, SGMH Mangol Puri payable at Delhi. The candidates are required to attach the attested copies of their certificates. The applications must be sent at the above mentioned address.
Date and Place of the interview: The interviews for the senior residents with the specialty in Medicine/Anesthesia/Pediatrics will be held on 01.09.2009, for Orthopedics/Surgery/Forensic Medicine/Radiology the interviews will be held on 02.09.2009 and for Obst and Gynae will be held on 04.09.2009. The interviews for junior residents will be held on 8th and 9th September 2009. The interviews will start at 10.00 AM. The interviews will be held at the Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital, Mangol Puri in New Delhi.
