UPSC is a well known name for everyone. It was established under the article 315 of our constitution. The major roles of the commission are to recruit the officers/students under the union/central government, advising the government on all the matters of recruitment methods, handle the disciplinary cases relating to civil services and to select the persons to meet the all India services.
Job profile: The officers will be required to work in different fields and in different parts of the country but under UPSC. They will be responsible for the execution of various activities and the progress of their organizations.
Eligibility: A candidate should not exceed the age of 35 years for scientific officer, 30 years for labour enforcement officer and AE in irrigation and flood control department. However, relaxation will be given to the reserved categories.
Educational Qualifications: A candidate must have a BE/B.TECH in civil engineering (for AE in irrigation and flood control department under govt. of NCT of Delhi) OR a degree in commerce OR a degree in Economics/Sociology/Social work (for labour enforcement officer) with a relevant experience in the relate field.
No. of posts: 15 posts are for AE (civil) in irrigation and flood control department, 5 for senior scientific officer in defence department of defence production and 4 for labour enforcement officer.
Pay scale: For AE in irrigation and flood control (govt. of NCT) – Rs9300-34800 + a grade pay of Rs4200, for scientific officer – Rs8000-13500 and for labour enforcement officer – Rs9300-34800 + a grade pay of Rs4200.
Selection process: The candidates will be selected on the basis of their merit and their performance in the interview.

The candidates are required to send the application along with their enclosures to Secretary, UPSC Dholpur House at Shahjahan Road New Delhi – 110069.
