SDPS in the name of the college stands for Smt. Dhairya Prabhadevi Sojatia and the college was established by the Smt. Dhairya Prabhadevi Sojatia Welfare Society. The institution was established with the objective of empowerment of women through education. The institute is offering education in different disciplines with affiliation from different universities like Rajiv Gandhi Technical University, Bhopal, Devi Ahilya Vishwa Vidyalaya, Indore and SNDT Women’s University located in Mumbai.

Affiliations:

Of these courses, Bachelor of Design and Bachelor of Science courses whose duration is one year, Bachelor of Education and advanced diploma & certificate course in Fashion Designing are affiliated to the SNDT University, while Bachelor of Architecture course is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi Technical University. All other courses offered by the SDPS Women’s College are affiliated to the Devi Ahilya University located in Indore.

Eligibility requirements and admission procedure:

B. Arch: The duration of B. Arch course is five year and for seeking admission to this course, candidates must have completed their 12th standard with not less than 50% of aggregate marks with mathematics as a subject and they can be from any stream of education. Admission to this course is done on the basis of the NATA score secured by the candidates.

B. Sc Interior Design: This course extends to a period of three years and the institute admits candidates who have completed their higher secondary in any stream of education to this course. Admission of students to this course is done based on entrance test.

Bachelor of Design: This course extends to a period of four years admits candidates who have completed their 10+2 in any stream of education to this course. Admission of students to this course is done based on entrance test and personal interview.

B. Com (honors) and BBA: These courses extend to a period of three years divided into six semesters and candidates must have completed their 10+2 in commerce or science stream to seek admission to these course. Admission of students to these courses is done based on the norms issued by the Devi Ahilya University.

B. Ed: For getting into this course, which extends to a period of one year, candidates must be graduates in any stream of education and they must have secured not less than 45% of marks in the final year of the degree course with at least two school subjects.
