SNDT College Of Home Science, Pune
Keeping in view the developing trends in the field of education, SNDT College of Home Science was established by the higher authorities of the SNDT Women’s University located at Mumbai as its constituent college. The college was established in the year 1968 and initially, the college started to function in the SNDT College of Arts. After two years of its formation, in the year 1970, a separate building was allocated to the SNDT College of Home Science.
Courses offered:
SNDT College of Home Science has two divisions called junior college and senior college and junior college is offering education at the 10+2 level, while senior college is offering education under UG and PG level. The list of courses offered by the senior college is given below:
• Three-year Bachelor of Science course in home science in the following subjects:
o Textiles & clothing
o Interior space design and management
o Early childhood care and education
o Nutrition and Dietetics
o Composite home science
• Vocational course in food science & quality control
Eligibility for admission:
For getting admission to the first year of the degree course, candidates must have completed their class 12 or higher secondary examination conducted by any recognized board with at least single paper in English. Even, candidates who have completed their first year B. Sc home science from any other university can apply directly for the second year of the degree course conducted by SNDT College of Home Science.

The college has evolved its goals and objectives according to the changing requirements of the global society, mission of SNDT Women’s University and vision of the founder and the goals and objectives are as follows:
• To improve the quality of life of each and every student, their family and the society as a whole.
