The South Malabar Gramin Bank conducts written examinations for filling up various posts in their bank on a regular basis. These exams are conducted as and when the vacancy arises for the various posts. These examinations are conducted under the bank’s guidance itself rather than outsourcing to institutes or bodies like Indian Banking and Personnel Services. The bank conducts the examination in a strict and organized manner. Structure and Syllabus for SM GB PO Exam

The South Malabar Gramin Bank is currently conducting written examinations for the post of 112 Officers and Office Assistants. The selection procedure of the South Malabar Gramin Bank involves a common written examination and interview. Only those candidates acquiring sufficient score in the written test would only be called for interview. The written examination will objective type OMR test.

The duration of the test will be 2 hours and 30 mins. Each section will consists of 50 questions and each question will have one mark each.

Desirable Experience: Certificate in:

Experience: The candidate must have worked in a similar post for a period not less than one year.

Law Officer

A degree in Law from a recognized university with an aggregate of 50% marks.

Experience: Two years of experience as a practicing advocate registered under any of the bar councils of India or should have performed in a similar role in any of the leading banks in the country.

General Banking Officer

Educational Qualification: Any degree with 50% aggregate marks from a recognized university.

Post Code III: Officer Junior Management Scale I

Educational Qualification: Any degree with 50% aggregate marks from a recognized university.

Proficiency in Malayalam is compulsory.

Computer knowledge will be an added advantage.

Post Code IV: Office Assistant (Multipurpose)

Educational Qualification: Any degree with 50% aggregate marks from a recognized university.

Proficiency in Malayalam is compulsory.

Computer knowledge will be an added advantage.

Age Requirement

Candidates in between the age group of 18 to 40 are eligible to apply. Age relaxations are applicable as per the government norms.

How to Fill the Form for SM GB PO Exam?

The candidates should apply only through online mode, using the link provided in the bank’s website. They should also keep an active email id throughout the course of the examination. The candidates are required to bring the copy of the fee payment Challan (Student’s Copy) to the examination centre along with a latest photograph of the candidate pasted firmly and they should sign across the same.
