General guidelines for preparing for Bank Recruitment Exam

A focused plan is necessary for candidates appearing the bank exam and he / she must know the significance of the recruitment exam. Candidates will need to study each topic within the time limit. Doing so will increase the applicants confidence and this will be a huge motivation factor.

Bank Recruitment Entrance Exam Pattern

There are two parts or two phases in a bank PO exam. The phase one of the recruitment exam consists of a written examination and the phase 2 consists of the G D & interview.

In the written examination of the bank PO exam, both the descriptive and objective questions will be asked. Objective question paper will be having 250 questions, which should be completed in one twenty minutes. This test will be covering four topics /sections. The topics are given below:

  • English Language test
  • General Awareness
  • Marketing and Computers Test
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation Test
  • High Level Reasoning Test

Fifty questions will be asked in the descriptive type question paper. One hour is the maximum time limit for completing this test. The questions for this paper will be from English language which includes:

  • Comprehension
  • Short precise writing
  • Letter writing
  • Essay writing

In the second part of the bank PO exam a group discussion for 20 marks and an interview for 30 marks will be held. Candidates who have passed the written examination will be only called for interview and G D. In the case of clerical exam, the entire pattern is same except there won’t be any GD.

Set up a full proof study Plan

Make a plan which is realistic and according to the schedule. The plan and mode of study should be in such a way that it should reduce the candidates stress. Be aware of your weakness and strengths, Prepare according to that.

Ladders in preparing for the Exam

Spend your time very sensibly and effectively. Candidates can divide the syllabus to smaller segments for easier learning. Studying for long hours can create stress in you, so avoid that. Select a noise and hindrance free area for studying. Mock tests should be undertaken to check your progress in studies.
