Srikishan Sarda College shortly called as S.S. College was established in the year 1950 on the 18th of September and the college was given this name in honor of Sri. Srichand Sarda, who contributed a huge amount of money in the initial stages for the development of the college.

During the initial stages, the college began to offer courses only in the arts faculty and later in the year 1958, the college introduced science faculty courses and the list of courses offered in these faculties is given below:

College Library:

S.S. College introduced a central library in the initial year of the inception of the college itself with the objective of satisfying the information requirements of the teachers and students in the form of collection of research articles, periodical journals, books, study materials, etc… For easier reference, the library is divided into different sections like journals and recent publications, book on local tradition and culture, computerized lending, book bank, ready reference information, etc…

Career-Oriented Courses:

S.S. College has taken initiative to introduce several career-oriented courses under both arts and science stream of education. Some of the career-oriented courses offered by the college include industrial fish and fishery course under department of zoology and biotechnology course under department of botany. The college is also planning to introduce career-oriented course on computer education through its computer center.

Internal Quality Assurance Cell:

An internal quality assurance cell is functioning under the college with the guidelines issued by the NAAC. This cell is working towards development of infrastructure and maintaining the quality of education offered.
