Job Profile:

Candidates are invited to apply on the following vacant posts of Steno-Typist and Clerk in Government Medical College & Hospital (Chandigarh). Candidates will be selected on posts of Steno-Typist and Clerk on both regular as well as contract basis.

1. Recruitment of Steno-Typist (Regular):
Posts Available: 2 posts are available.
Age Limit: Candidates should be in between 18 to 25 years of age.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree alongwith proficiency in Computer Applications. Candidates are also required to have a speed of 80 words per minute in Stenography (English) and speed of 20 words per minute in Stenography (Hindi).
Pay Scale: Rs. 5910-20200 + Grade Pay of Rs. 2000.

2. Recruitment of Steno-Typist (Contract):
Posts Available: 3 posts are available.
Age Limit: Candidates should be in between 18 to 25 years of age.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree alongwith proficiency in Computer Applications. Candidates are also required to have a speed of 80 words per minute in Stenography (English) and speed of 20 words per minute in Stenography (Hindi).
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 10000.

3. Recruitment of Clerk (Regular):

4. Recruitment of Clerk (Contract):

Age Limit: Candidates should be in between 18 to 25 years of age.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree alongwith proficiency in Computer Applications. Candidates are also required to have a typing speed of 30 words per minute in English.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 9500.

Application Fee:

An non-refundable application fee of Rs. 100 is need to be submitted by the interested candidates. Rs. 25 is the amount of application fee for SC category candidates. Physically handicapped candidates are exempted from paying this application fee. Selection Process:

Interested candidates will have to appear for Stenography test in English. The stenography test will be organised on 6 March 2011 from 10 AM onwards. Candidates arriving late for the test will not be allowed totake part in the test.
