The university was established in the year 1994. It is the collection of various educational schools which are located on the outskirts of Jaipur. It includes all the levels of education from the Kindergarten education to PhD level studies including higher secondary schools and other institutions. It has established itself as a leading institute in the field of education within 10 years. The infrastructure of the university is very dynamic being the biggest infrastructures in the state.

It deals with the need of the world in the area of science and industries. It covers all the educational fields up to the PhD level. The courses encourage innovations and creativity with original thinking and it also makes research work a compulsory work. All the major areas like microbiology, biotechnology, biochemistry etc are included in the post graduate programs. The pharmaceutical chemistry centre for air and water modelling, abbreviated as CAWM, acts as a centre of research in the university and it studies the issues concerning pollution of air and water and its effects on the health of the population. The curriculum of the university is also updated after regular time so as to meet the changing requirements of the industries and the businesses and the field of science. The university has mainly the following faculties or the departments: Pharmacy, education, engineering, management hospitality and bio science.

Residential facilities are provided for boys as well as the girls by providing separate hostels within the campus with the necessary facilities like mess, well equipped gymnasium, canteen, STD and ISD booths, bookstore, courier service etc. Health care facilities are made available. Computerized libraries with rich collection of books, magazines, journals etc are up to date and help the nourishment of knowledge of the students. Sports activities are also encouraged for the overall development of the students.
