Eligibility requirement:

For getting into the three-year UG Course in economics offered by the Symbiosis School of Economics, candidates must have completed their class 12 examination in any stream of education with a minimum of 50% marks in the case of open category candidates and 45% for SC/ST candidates. For getting into the two-year PG course in economics, candidates must be graduates with exposure to physics/statistics/mathematics/economics. Even BE/B. Tech candidates can apply and candidates must have secured not less than 50% of marks at the graduation level (45% for SC/ST candidates). As far as PGDPPG course is concerned, government employees/NGO professionals/corporates/PG degree holders in any field/graduates in any field/appearing graduates are eligible to apply.

Admission Procedure:

For UG Course admission, candidates must get through the SET examination conducted by the Symbiosis International University followed by Group Discussion and personal interview. For PG Course, admission will be based on the academic merit secured by the students in the qualifying examination, group discussion and personal interview. For Diploma course, admission will be on merit basis.

Candidates, who wish to apply to the UG course offered by Symbiosis School of Economics, can get the prospectus from the Symbiosis International University. Candidates will have to register online for applying to the institution through the following link: http://oamslive.blueshiftindia.com/sse/website/ and should pay Rs.1000 towards application fee in the form of DD or net banking or credit card. In case payment is made through DD, candidates will have to clearly write their SET ID on the back of the DD and the payment should be made in favor of Director, Symbiosis School of Business payable at Pune.

For Admission to the PG degree and diploma course, candidates can download the application form from http://www.sse.ac.in/files/MSC-APPL-2011.pdf and from http://www.sse.ac.in/files/PGD-PPG-APPL-2011.pdf respectively and Rs.500 should be paid by them for registration fee through DD drawn in favor of the Director, Symbiosis School of Economics payable at Pune. Duly filled in application should be sent to the address of the institution.
