Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya was given this name in honor of the former Prime Minister of the nation. The university was inaugurated in the year 1964 by the then Union Minister of Information & Broadcasting Smt. Indiar Gandhi.

Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya has invited applications from eligible candidates for the post of Technical Assistant to work in the ICAR Projects of the university.

• Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry – 01 (UR)

• Plant Breeding & Genetics – 11 (UR-6, ST-2, SC-2, OBC-1)

• Agricultural Economics – 02 (UR-01, ST-01)

• Soil Water Engineering – 02 (UR-01, ST-01)

• Post Harvest Process & Food Engineering – 02 (UR-01, ST-01)

• Entomology – 02 (UR-01, ST-01)

• Plant Pathology – 06 (UR-3, ST-2, SC-1, ST-1)

• Biochemistry – 01 (UR)

Pay Scale: Candidates selected for the post of Technical Assistant, will come under the pay scale of Rs.5500– 175 – 9000/-

Eligibility requirements:

Educational qualification:

Candidates must possess Master’s degree in relevant subjects with not less than 2.75 OCGA in 4.00 point scale/6.00 OGPA in 10.00 point scale or 55% of marks or an equivalent degree from an Indian or foreign university and Bachelor’s degree in relevant subjects with not less than 2.50 OCGA in 4.00 point scale/5.50 OGPA in 10.00 point scale or 50% of marks. Ph. D in relevant field is desirable.

Application fee of Rs.400 (Rs.150 for candidates belonging to SC/ST category) should be paid in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favor of JNKVV payable at Jabalpur.
