Dr M G R medical University is one of the biggest medical institutes of TamilNadu India. It provides various degree courses related to medical field. B.Pharma is one of the bachelors degree provided by the institute and Pharmaceutical inorganic chemistry is one of the major subjects of this degree in first year. The question paper is such designed so as to cover the entire syllabus. The pattern of the paper very much tells us the way to prepare for the exam and where to concentrate.

The sections

All the B.Pharma degree papers have the same pattern. This paper has three sections and the student can attempt any section first according to his wish.

The pattern

This paper has three sections. The first section contains essay type questions where we are given 3 questions and we need to attempt any two. These are long answer questions and there may or may not be any division in the question. The second section contains short notes where there are 8 questions of which we have to answer any 6 and the last section is short answer where we need to write 5 out of 7 questions. So there is a choice in every section of the paper and we have to attempt all the sections.

Marks distribution

The maximum marks of this paper are 80.The first section that is in the essay type question section each question carries 20 marks. So we can score a maximum of 40 marks in this section. Coming to the next section each short notes carry 5 marks giving a total of 30 marks in this section and in the last section  each short answer carries 2 marks which gives a weightage of 10 marks.

Time constrain

The total duration of this examination is three hours.
