The association of Private Dental and Medical colleges in Uttar Pradesh carry out entrance examination for the admission purpose of BDS course commonly called the All India Common Admission Test- Dental, UPCAT-DENTAL. There are many private Dental colleges taking this score as an admission criterion. Dental Counsel of India is monitoring the programs in Dental Surgery and BDS. A large number of aspirants, who are looking for the quality education are taking this exam every year.

Structure

The examination is a multiple choice objective type with three hours duration. The students are given four options and should select the bet option as the answer. There will be no negative marking for the wrong answer. The question paper will constitute of 200 questions with 200 marks. The areas covered under the examination will be,

Eligibility Criteria

The basic education qualification needed for taking the examination is plus two or equivalent in science stream. The candidates must study biology and Chemistry along with Physics and Mathematics in their plus two level and must secure 50% marks in the final board exam. They must have 50% marks in PCB when taken together and the reservation category will get a advantage of 10%. The aspirants taking the final year examination can provisionally allowed take the examination. But they must satisfy the eligibility conditions at the time of admission. The candidates must be at the age of 17 and more.

How to Apply?

One can purchase the form from the participating institutes by the cash payment of Rs.1000/-. The application form is also obtained from the selected branches of oriented bank. One can also get the form by post by sending the request letter to the Association of Private Medical and Dental Colleges with the DD of application form payable at Bareilly.

How to fill the Form?

The candidates must read the information booklet and it will help the students on how to fill the application form. The application form is an OMR sheet and any mistakes will cause to reject your request for taking the examination. The application form constitutes three parts, Part A, Part B and Part C. The candidates can use Ball Point Pen and HB pencil for filling the application form.

The Part A should fill with the pen and for filling the rest the candidates can only use the pencil. Affix the recent passport size photo on the required place and put your signature. Make sure you enter the valid data, recheck after filling the form. Attach the necessary documents with the filled application form and send it before the deadline to the set address.
