UPPGMEE 2010
Uttar Pradesh Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination(UPPGMEE) is conducted by M.L.N. Medical College, Allahabad each year for admission to post graduate medical courses like MDS and MD/MS/PG Diploma courses in various post graduate medical colleges of Uttar Pradesh. The candidates clearing the entrance examination are eligible for admission to the Medical Colleges of Agra, Allahabad, Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Kanpur, Meerut and in Medical/ Dental faculty of CSM Medical University, Lucknow.
Candidates from all over India can apply for UPPGMEE for admission to all the post graduate courses. There are a total of 603 seats combined in all the institutes for all the post graduate medical courses in addition to 12 seats for MDS at CSM Medical University, Lucknow. The competition for UPPGMEE is quite tough.
Eligibility criteria:
Candidate must have MBBS fo admission to MD/MS/PGD courses and BDS for admission to MDS course from a recognised institute. Those who will be able to complete their internship by May End can also apply.
Availability of Application forms for UPPGMEE 2010:
The forms for UPPGMEE will be available in the selected State Bank of India branches and also from all the participating institutes.
Important Dates(Tentative):
Date of Entrance Examination: February 1st week, 2010
Last Date for Availability of Application Forms: December 2nd week, 2010
Last Date for receipt of completed application forms: December 2nd week, 2010
Please note that the dates are only tentative and are not final. The post will be updated as soon as the dates are officially released.

Pattern of Examination:
There will be 2 papers of 2 hours each consisting of 150 multiple choice questions each.
Paper I -Pre and Para-clinical subjects.
Paper II-Clinical subjects.
There will be 4 options for each question. A candidate will get 4 marks for each correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
