Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology is one of the oldest engineering colleges of Uttar Pradesh. This institute is self financed and provides excellent educational facilities. The college is associated to the UPTU and has the approval of AICTE.
Courses Offered
This institute was the first one offering courses in Biotechnology and Information Technology. The B. Tech program is offered by the college in various streams like Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering and Chemical Engineering. The institute also offers B. Pharma, MCA and MBA programs apart from engineering.
Infrastructure
The infrastructure of the college is outstanding with modernized, well equipped laboratory, well furnished central library and a computer center. There are also hostel and good mess facility available. To enhance the quality of teaching highly qualified and greatly trained faculty is there at the college.
Placement
The college probably has the best placement record among the colleges under UPTU. In the last 4 years the students have got placed in companies like CARITOR Pvt. Ltd., MBT, SATYAM, CTS, L&T, Birla Soft, HP, PERSISTENT and Infosys
Admission Procedure and Eligibility Criteria
The admission process starts in June and continues till July. The applicant must qualify SEE- UPTU with a decent rank to get admitted.
The candidates should also have at least 50% marks in PCM at the HSC or equivalent examination.

Can i get a gov college under uptu my general rank is 9566?
