Institute of Petroleum Management (IPMG) is situated in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The institute was established by Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Limited (GSPC) in the premises of Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU).

The institute specializes in managerial requirements of the Gas and Oil Sector, and many relevant companies-both national and international, recruits students from IPMG.

IPMG takes applications for Residential MBA program of duration two years. The program focuses on Gas and Oil Sector. It is considered as a reputed degree in management.

Applicants need to appear for the Common Entrance Test held every year by the Indian Institutes of Management. However, the IIMs do not play any role in the selection process of IPMG.

The next stage of the selection procedure is a Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Admissions are offered on the basis of CAT score and the GD/PI performance. The Government of Gujarat holds the full right to approve the admission of a candidate.

Preference is given to applicants with a work experience preferably in Gas and Oil Sector.

Preference will be given to candidates with work experience in supervisory & above positions in industry including Oil & Gas Sector.

Selection process of IPMG is subject to jurisdiction of Gandhinagar.
