The University of Calicut was established in the year of 1968, with ‘Nirmaya Karmana Sree’ as its motto, and with an objective to provide overall evolution of human resources, through higher and quality education and perform research work in all possible spheres of enhancements and improvements with particular regards to developing technology and promotion of cultural and art heritage of Kerala.

The University of Calicut locates its campus at a place called Tenhipalam situated in the Malappuram district of the state Kerala, which is an approximate 24 km south of Calicut city. The other extension centres are at Thrissur, Calicut and Vatakara.

The University has 304 affiliated colleges.

Entrance procedure:

1) The candidate must satisfy the eligibility criteria for the required course.

3) Candidates seeking admission to the NRI seats should apply to the Principal.

4) Admission to the courses is based on the basis of merit assessed during the Entrance Examination.
