The insurance Institute of India deals with the training and education of promoting insurance in the country. As there are rapid increase in no. of insurance companies and finance agencies in the country, the job opportunities is increasing in India.
Paper Pattern:
The paper of foundation of casualty actuarial science is a subjective paper and it also contains an objective question in it. Total no. of questions in the paper are 8, question no. 1 contains 15 objective questions in it with multiple choices. Rest 7 questions are of long answer type and 5 questions from it are divided into sub-questions. There is no alternative in the paper. The paper contains a question on short notes and contains 2 short notes. 1 question is of numerical type and it contains data based problem.

Questions in the paper are of subjective type and 1 question in the paper is of 15 objective questions of multiple choices. Questions asked are such as formula of CAPM, reinsurance loss reserving, expected value of variance, internal rate of return, immunisation, various form of reinsurance treaty, concept of facultative certificate, faculty certificate pricing, net worth of in the context of general insurance company etc.
Total marks and time allotted:
Maximum marks which can be obtained in the paper are 100 and time allotted to the paper is 3 hours only. Each question in objective section is of 2 marks and in subjective section; each question is of 10 marks. Short notes are of 5 marks each.
