Junior Engineer (Civil/Electrical) for CPWD - Staff Selection Commission
Staff Selection Commission is responsible for making recruitment to all Group B positions in different departments and ministries of the Indian Government and their subordinate and attached officers that are in the pay scales of maximum of Rs.10500 or below and for all non-technical group C positions in different departments and ministries of Indian Government and their subordinate and attached offices, other than the posts that are specifically exempted from the purview of the SSC.
Recruitment by SSC:
Staff Selection Commission is planning to recruit candidates for the position of Junior Engineering in Civil and electrical disciplines to work for the Central Public Works Department and here are the details regarding the notification issued by the commission in this regard:
Name of the Vacancy: Junior Engineer (Civil & Electrical) in Central Public Works Department
Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 378, which is divided among the two positions as follows
• Junior Engineer (Civil) – 192
• Junior Engineer (Electrical) - 186
Reservations are applicable according to the Government orders and selected candidates will be required to serve anywhere in India. The positions have been identified as suitable for candidates with disabilities.
Pay Scale: Candidates appointed for the position of Junior Engineer in Staff Selection Commission will be coming under the pay scale of Rs.9300-34800 plus Grade pay of Rs.4200.
Eligibility requirements:
Qualification for both positions: Candidates should be diploma holders in civil or electrical or mechanical engineering from an institution recognized by the central government or they must possess equivalent qualification.
Age: To apply for the position of Junior Engineer, candidates must be between the age group of 18 and 27 years of age. Selection Procedure:
Candidates will be shortlisted for interview to the position of Junior Engineer in CPWD on the basis of their performance in written examination to be conducted by SSC. It is a combined All India Open Examination planned to be held on 08th of April 2012.
Cost of application:

How to apply:
Applications must be submitted in prescribed format as given in Annexure I of the notification either through online or through post. For details instructions regarding how to apply, candidates will have to read the Annexure II A or Annexure II B for postal and online applications. Last date to apply is 10th of February 2012 up to 5.00 pm and for candidates belonging to far flung areas is 17th of February 2012.
