National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) is one of the well known higher education institutes in India focusing on education and research in the area of pharmaceutical sciences. The institute offers Master’s and Doctoral level programs in various fields of pharmaceutical sciences. Master’s in Pharmacy is a two year programme. Admission to the post graduation programme is based on the performance of the candidates in the national level entrance test and in personal interview.   The details about the admission process to M.Pharm course in NIPER is given below.

M.Pharm Admission Procedure in NIPER

Eligibility Criterion for M.Pharm

Candidates having bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy with a good academic record are eligible for the course. Apart from this, candidates who have completed their post graduate programme in Biological Sciences/ Organic Chemistry/ Organic/ Analytical Chemistry/ Life Sciences are also eligible for admission. Candidates should have scored a minimum of 60 % marks in the Qualifying Examination. Candidates belonging to reserved category are required to have 55 % marks to qualify.

Application procedure for M.Pharm

Candidates who seek admission for M.Pharm programme in NIPER are required to register online on the official website of the institute. Before registration, applicants shall remit registration fee of Rs. 1000 through online. Reserved category candidates are required to pay an amount of Rs. 500/-.  Applicant can also deposit registration fee in any branch of State Bank of Patiala in India. Indian nationals residing abroad and foreign nationals have to remit US$100 (or equivalent in Indian Rupees) through online transaction. Payment by cheque/Postal Order is not accepted.

Admission procedure for M.Pharm

The institute conducts national level entrance examinations for admissions to its M.S. (Pharma) programme. Duration of the examination will be 2 hours. The level of questions will be of B.Pharm and M. Sc level. The question paper will consist of 200 multiple choice objective type questions. There will be negative marking in the written test. 25% marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. The result of the written test will be declared on the official website of the Institute.

Candidates who have cleared the written test will be shortlisted for personal interview/ counselling. The candidates have to report to the Institute for counselling on scheduled date and time. They should come prepared in person with the requisite fees and supporting documents. Final selection will be based on the composite scores obtained in the entrance test and interview.
