Admission Procedure for M.S in Software Engineering in VIT

Those who have completed their intermediate class studies are eligible to apply for 5 year integrated course, M.S in Software Engineering of VIT. They can forward the application through the official web portal of VIT. Admission is made purely on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. There is no separate entrance exam for admission to this course.

Eligibility Criteria for M.S in Software Engineering course

Pass in 10 + 2 class in science stream is the qualification required for pursuing M.S. degree in Software Engineering. 10 + 2 / Higher Secondary Examination must be passed from a recognized Board. Aggregate marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics is counted primarily during the admission process. Candidates are short-listed for final interview on the basis of the collective marks obtained in these three subjects.

How to apply?

Applications can be forwarded through the official web portal of VIT. The candidate should pay the application fee of Rs. 600/- before submitting the application form. This must be paid in the form of DD drawn in favor of ‘VIT University, Vellore. The demand draft must be taken in the address of Admissions Officer, VIT University, Vellore – 632014, Tamil Nadu, India. Apart from online application submission, the candidate can also forward the application through postal method. In order to obtain the application form through postal method, the DD taken must be sent to the mentioned address. This must also include an envelope having self-address of the aspirant. Upon receiving the application form, it must be filled up correctly and must be submitted to the address before last date. One should fill the application form manually.

Admission notification will be published in the official website of VIT in the last week of April every year. Closing date of application submission will be extended up to the third week of May.
