Any degree obtained from the Indira Gandhi National Open University [IGNOU] is equivalent to any other degree. The University is recognized by the following regulatory bodies:
  • University Grant Commission [UGC]
  • Association of Indian Universities [AIU]
  • Distance Education Council [DEC]
  • All India Council for Technical Education [AICTE] [MCA and MBA programs]

Hence, candidates graduating from the University are eligible to write any competitive exam which are conducted by Private or Public Sectors including Civil Service Examinations.
