Re: How to join CA after completion of B.Com programme?
Dear There,
The acronym for CA is Chartered Accountancy. If, you have 55% marks in B.Com, then you are eligible to take direct admission for IPCC. If, you have less than 55% marks in B.Com, then firstly you will have to appear for CPT(Common Proficiency Test), then after, you are eligible to take admission for IPCC(Integrated Prefessional Competancy Course). CPT has four sections, which are divided into two groups are mentioned as below:- * Economics. * Fundamentals of accountancy. * Mercantile law. * Quantitative aptitude. Hope the above mentioned will help you to get the information you were searching for. |

You can join Chartered Accountancy after completing the Bachelor of Commerce course. There are three stages in the Chartered Accountancy course. The first one is known as the Common Proficiency Test.
Common Proficiency Test (CPT) Common Proficiency Test is basically a test that has to be cleared for admission in the second stage. Candidates are eligible to appear for it after completing 12th standard. There are two groups in the CPT of 2 sections each. In order to qualify the exam, you are required to score minimum of 30 percent marks in each group. 1. Fundamentals of Accountancy 2. Economics 3. Mercantile Law 4. Quantitative Aptitude Integrated Professional Competancy Course (IPCC) After CPT comes the Integrated Professional Competancy Course. A graduate can directly apply for the IPCC without having to appear for Common Proficiency Test. Commerce graduate should score 55 percent marks and non-commerce graduate should have scored 60 percent marks to directly take admission for the Integrated Professional Competancy Course. Group 1 1. Cost Accounting and Financial Management 2. Accounting 3. Business Laws,Ethics and Communication 4. Taxation Group 2 5. Information Technology and Strategic Management 6. Auditing and Assurance 7. Advanced Accounting Final Course Last stage is called Final Course. It is often regarded as the toughest of the three stages which is why very few students manages to clear it every year. Group 1 1. But, If , a candidate does not fulfill the above criteria, then firstly, he will be appear for CPT(Common Proficiency Test), only then, he is able to take admission in IPCC. Thanks. |
