Candidates who have completed Diploma course in Electrical Engineering (either 2 year or 3 year diploma courses) with a minimum of 60% marks can apply for B.Tech course in Thapar University. B.Sc (Non medical) graduates can also apply for the same. Selection process will be depend on Lateral Entry Entrance Test (LEET –TU) conducted by this university. The pattern of the exam consists of objective model questions from subject areas like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English & Reasoning and Electrical Engineering.   

Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech (Electrical Engineering) in Thapar University

Candidates need to pass Diploma (3 year course) in Electrical engineering to apply.  Those who have completed 2 year diploma after 12th class studies, from a recognized Polytechnic institute can also apply. It is essential to score at least 60% marks in this level. B.Sc (Non medical) graduates from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks also can submit applications for this course.

Selection Procedure for B.Tech (Electrical Engineering) in Thapar University

As part of the selection procedure for B.Tech (Electrical Engineering) course, candidates need to attend Lateral Entry Entrance Test (LEET –TU) organized by Thapar University.
