Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology situated at Longowal village in Sangrur district in Punjab was established in 1989 by the HRD Ministry of the Indian Government to pay homage to Sant Harchand Singh Longowal. It formally got functional in 1991 and in 2007 in the month of April it achieved the status of a Deemed University. The admin staff of the institute is comprises of more than eight hundred personnel. The institute has been named after the famous Sikh leader, Sant Harchand Singh Longowal. The institute offers both undergraduates as well as postgraduates courses.

2. Recruitment of Associate Professor:

Educational Qualification: Ph.D. degree with minimum 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized university. Minimum 8 years experience in teaching, research or industry field.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 9000.

Posts of Assistant Professor are available in the disciplines of Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Chemical Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics.

3. Recruitment of Assistant Professor:
Posts Available: 38 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should have a good academic record with minimum 55% marks at Master’s degree level in a relevant subject. Candidates must also have cleared the NET conducted by the UGC, CSIR.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6000.

Application Fee:

An application fee of Rs. 500 is need to be paid in the form of a Demand Draft only. The demand draft should be drawn in favour of Director, SLIET, Longowal. Rs. 250 is the amount of application fee for SC/ST categories candidates. PWD candidates are exempted from the payment of this application fee.
