National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management was established under the Government of India. The institute is a world class institution which was set up with the aim of catering the virus stakeholders. It is an apex institution which also works in assisting in setting food standards, information sharing etc. The institute is located at August Kranti Marg, New Delhi. The institute is the brainchild of the Ministry of Food Processing Industries. Mrs. Sonia Gandhi is the Chairperson of the National Advisory Council.

Job Profile:

National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management is inviting applications from eligible Indian Nationals for making recruitment on the vacant posts of Professor. The vacancies are available in the departments of Food Science & Technology, Engineering, Agriculture and Environmental Science, Basic and Applied Science, Food Business Management & Enterpreneurship Development.

Eligibility:

Interested candidates are required to have age less than the prescribed maximum age limit i.e. 60 years. Candidates belonging to reserved categories (such as Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Categories etc) may get relaxation in the upper age limit as per the rules of Government of India.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates should be an eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification and should have published work of high quality in the field of research (minimum 10 publications as books or ISSN numbered journals etc). Besides this prescribed educational qualification, candidates should also possess minimum 10 years teaching experience in college or university. Candidates possessing qualification less than the prescribed one, will not be considered eligible for the post. Applications recieved from uneligible candidates will not be entertained or considered by the institute under any special circumstances.

No. of posts: Several posts are available.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be given the prescribed amount of salary i.e. Rs. 37400-67000 alongwith a Grade Pay of Rs. 10000.

Selection Process:

Selection of eligible candidates will be made through the conduct of a selection test which compromises of two different stages. Candidates will have to qualify in both the stages of the selection process for getting selected on the specified position. The two different stages of the selection process are:

1. Written Examination (if necessary),
2. Personal Interview Test/ Group Discussion.
