The Ramnarain Ruia College in Mumbai was established in the year 1937. It was basically a college of arts and science. The institute is affliated to the University of Mumbai.
Campus
The college is a very huge one with a very good infrastructure and many buildings. There are basically two colleges the junior college and the senior college. The library of the college is another master piece with over more than 120000 books and huge periodicals. Apart from this there are the journals and the magazines and the cassettes and the cd’s that the students can relate to.
Courses Offered
The college offers B.A. course, B.Sc. course, Bachelor in Mass Media, bachelor in library and Information Science, M.Sc., Ph D and certificate courses and also diploma courses and advanced diploma courses. There is also the junior college that has class 10 and 12 and also vocational. There are many departments like the commerce, economics, Hindi, political science, Sanskrit, botany, zoology, chemistry, mathematics, computer science and many other in which these course can be carried out.
Admission Procedure
There are so many courses that are offered by the college and to get admitted to the undergraduate and the [postgraduate course one has to get the admission form filled in and then follow the procedure. The marks obtained by the students in their 10 and 12 and their graduation are taken into account for the admission to the graduate and the postgraduate courses respectively.
Placements
There are many opportunities for the students as there are links with many companies that visit the campus and recruit students to hire them to their company and work for them.
