Assumption College is a famous and most popular college for women’s in the state, accredited by NAAC. The college is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University of Kerala, and is well known for its academic disciplines and culture. It is one of those colleges which have won the prestigious R Shankar Award from the Government of Kerala in 1996-1997. It is also one of the best colleges for games and sports and was honored from the Kerala Sports Council. Students of this college compete every year at the national and international levels.

Infrastructure:

Assumption College is spread over a lush green area of Kerala and has all sorts of facility in its campus. The college provides excellent residential facility to its students which are distributed in six hostels within the college campus. It also has an auditorium with a capacity of 100 seats.

The college offers various bachelors and masters courses to the applicants. The fashion design course was started in 2002 for the applicants. It is the first course of its kind in the state. Following are the main courses provided by this college. Bachelors in

Admission Procedure:

Candidates have to take an entrance test conducted by the university and then they have to attend a counseling program in order to get their desired courses. Minimum qualification is that they must have passed 10+2 exams from any of the recognized universities of India.

Placements:

The college started a placement cell in the year 2006-07 for the students. The students of Fashion Department of this college are working as fashion designers in various domestic and national firms of India. Major recruiters of students from other courses are Infosys, Shreds, Big Leap Solutions and Versat Consultancy Services
