IIM Ahmedabad is a premier management institution in India, and it is one of the best all over the world. With a ranking of 1 in India, the institution is always the first choice of all CAT applicants and qualified students. The excellence of the institute shows in the website which is highly professional and deserves applause, as well as its students who have taken pain in developing it.

The official website of the institute is highly professional in the first look and is designed superbly. Unlike most educational websites, the home page starts with loading flash, and then a flicker of pictures are presented one after another in the home page central position, that two in a Mosaic TV Format, the mosaic is not rectangular but has a rectangle and a reverse L attached on the left side of the rectangular mosaic giving it is a beautiful appearance.

On the side of the Mosaic TV are the various links to different section of the website. On the left side of the Mosaic just below the L is a scrolling list entitled “Latest at IIMA”,  while on the right side of the Mosaic stands picture links to campus tour, admissions, talent bouquet, Buy at IIMA, Pay at IIMA, Donate, Alumni, and Convocation, which directs you to the respective pages as per the titles. On the right had top side of the Mosaic lies a menu list, containing links to Programmes, Executive Education, Faculty, Research and Publications, IIMA Cases, Library, Students, Placement, the CAT website, and Right to Information. Right below the Mosaic is a picture link to the Institute, as well as a Calendar on the right hand side of the link, just below that are the professor profiles scrolling one after the another, and towards the left of that you can find the various news.

Right at the bottom lies a menu bar consisting of Privacy Policy, Feedback, Contact us, Tenders, and Site Map. Overall the presentation of the site is commendable, and the links and organization is awesome. However due to extra effects of the website it may take some time to load it, so this is the only drawback of the site. Overall, the site is exceptionally good as per educational sites are concerned.
