The PMR Institute of Technology is situated in Chennai. The institute came into existence in 2000 and since then has been spreading its wings in the field of education. It is a co – educational institute. The PMR Institute of Technology is affiliated to the prestigious Anna University of Chennai. It is approved by AICTE.

Campus

The college is spread over a vast area which covers the college buildings and the hostels and also other buildings. The library of the college is a very huge one with a wide collection of books and journals. There are about more than 33,438 documents, 1218 journals and 210 periodicals. There is also the existence of departmental libraries. Apart from this there are also hostel facilities for the students. The rooms are all well maintained with proper food and sanitation and hygiene. There is facility for transportation for the people who do not stay at hostels.

Courses Offered

The courses that are offered by the institute are: it offers Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering, B.E in Electronics and Tele-Communication Engineering. The institute also offers Bachelor of Technology in Applied Electronics and Instrumentation, B.Tech in Information Technology and B.Tech in Production Engineering.

Admission Procedure

The admission to the institute is based on the basis of merit obtained by the student in the Entrance Examination conducted by the state. There are criteria for the admission to the various courses and the students can choose from among the available seats.
